American singer and former Black Eyed Peas member Will.I.Am is set to use the Coronation Street set as the main location for the music video of his new single ‘Fiyah’. Tomorrow, 14th March Will.I.Am will take his crew to MediaCityUK in Salford Manchester to the most iconic Soap Opera set.
Will decided to make a return to the TV set for more than just a visit this time after stopping by in November, during a break from filming The Voice UK with fellow Coaches, Gavin Rossdale, Jennifer Hudson and Tom Jones.
In November, The Voice coach joked to cast member Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDonald in the famous soap, that he would love to go back to the street to film a music video. Little did fans know it would actually be happening.
Fans have gone crazy since Will debuted the new single, ‘Fiyah’ on the ITV show on Sunday night. The single has said to have been written from inspiration from the comments he gives to The Voice hopefuls. It is also believed that alongside Will’s 20 dancers, he will be bringing his three quarter-finalists from The Voice, Jason Jones, Tanya Lacey and Michelle John down.
The pop star has previously filmed music videos in California, so what will he find setting this one on the cobbles?
It is reported that Coronation Street producers are sending the cast home early to allow for Will to film and the video won’t feature any cast members.
